Stepped-frequency utility GPR for locating buried utilities and mapping subsurface features in real time.
The Proceq GS8000 is a ground penetrating radar for fast subsurface utility detection and mapping. Stepped-frequency radar gives high-resolution imaging for buried utilities, infrastructure condition, and other non-destructive investigations.
Operators scan larger areas while watching the data in real time in the Proceq GPR Subsurface app. The software shows 2D and 3D views so a crew can pick out pipes, conduits, cables, voids, and structural elements without opening the ground.
The cart is used for subsurface utility engineering (SUE), construction investigations, road and pavement work, and infrastructure inspections. The point of the survey is to cut the chance of a utility strike and to give engineers and contractors a clearer picture before they dig.
It is compact enough to deploy for a single job. Smart Scanning rents and sells the GS8000 across Canada.
