Smart Scanning Canada is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This page explains how we handle personal information when you ask about renting or buying equipment, or when you email us. It is written to line up with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
The quote form on this website does not save your answers on the site. It opens your email program with a message addressed to info@smartscanning.ca. If you send that message, or if you email or call us yourself, we receive the details you choose to include. That is usually:
- your name
- your company
- your email address
- your phone number
- your message
- whether you want to rent or buy, and which instrument you asked about
- a project location or dates, if you added them
How we use it
We use that information to answer your inquiry, prepare a rental or purchase quote, arrange delivery or training, and keep ordinary business records of that conversation. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising lists.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may keep ordinary technical logs, such as an IP address and the page that was requested, so the site can run and stay available. This site does not use analytics tools, advertising cookies, or a customer database of its own.
How long we keep it
Email we receive is kept for as long as we need it to answer you, complete a rental or sale, and meet ordinary business and legal record-keeping. After that, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
Access and corrections
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to correct it. Email info@smartscanning.ca or call (204) 777-6590. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
