The Profometer PM8000 is a concrete cover meter for locating reinforcing steel and measuring cover depth. A handheld sensor pairs with the Proceq Profometer app on an iPad so the crew can see and map rebar as they scan.
It is the tool engineers, contractors, and inspectors use before drilling, coring, or cutting, and when a structural assessment needs cover readings and a layout they can document.
Smart Scanning rents and sells the Profometer PM8000. It uses eddy current, not radar, so it complements a GP-series GPR when the question is cover depth and bar layout rather than a full subsurface image.
